Jordan Vauvert Après les quelques égarements d'Al-Namrood dans Astfhl Al Thar, j'attendais le groupe d'Arabie Saoudite au tournant sur Estorat Taghoot. Je ne jouerai pas la carte du suspense : cet album est une tuerie ! La production y est bien plus charnelle donnant à ce black metal folklorique des allures de raw black metal et la batterie, bien que toujours programmée, s'y fond beaucoup mieux, faisant trembler les monuments les plus solides par moments. Le chant est d'une agressivité folle. Irréprochable ! Favorite track: Fe Youm Thaqeef.

Illumipony I discovered this band while taking Arabic in college. I was initially just looking for an Arabic speaking band to help me along with the course, and wasn't expecting much in the way of musical quality. But boy, did these guys prove me wrong. I never would've thought Arabian music and black metal would mix so well together but this album show it can be done, and done well. Tasharafna, Al-Namrood. Favorite track: Junood Al Amjaad.

La traversée du désert n'aura pas duré quarante jours mais quatre longues années... Avec Панихида, Батюшка renaît enfin de ses cendres et, bien que désormais seul (ou plus exactement entouré de deux chanteurs), Христофор accomplit un miracle. Il s'inscrit dans la continuité de Литоургиiа avec un black metal orthodoxe qui nous convie ici à une cérémonie dédiée aux morts. Sa vision est englobante : les mélodies, la gravité et le silence font toucher le paradis ; l'agressivité est luciférienne. Jordan Vauvert

Some of the most incredible black metal I've heard, both amazingly creative while surprisingly traditional. Normally I'm not a fan of putting acoustic songs in metal albums, but in this case they are just too beautiful to do without. ganondox

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
